Representative Squad Selection Policy
Every effort will be made to ensure selection is consistent and fair, and player ability and commitment is recognised.
- In order to be eligible for selection players must reside in a country postcode.
(please see http://bvcc.net.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2016/03/BV-State-Team-Boundary-Map-List.pdf)
- Players must be a registered and financial member of the PDBA summer domestic season and play enough games in their domestic team to qualify for the domestic finals.
- Attend Pakenham Warriors MUVJBL tryouts and accept a position in the selected team.
Team balance will also be a major factor in team selection decisions. Representative squad coaches
will be the given the flexibility of interchanging players if it’s deemed necessary i.e. due to injury,
form, attitude, etc. This will only be allowed to occur after extensive consultation between the
relevant coaches, player(s), parent(s)/guardian(s) and subsequently formal approval is given by the
selection committee. It is emphasised that team selection remains firmly at the discretion of the
representative squad coaches.
