BIG V POLICIES, CODES OF CONDUCT & INFORMATION

The BigV is the senior basketball league in Victoria comprising 140+ semi-professional sides in 12 competitions.

These competitions comprise both genders and incorporate three levels of senior competition (men), three levels of women and youth leagues.

The league commenced under the name "the Victorian Women's Conference" in 1987. The men's and women's competitions were run independently until 2000. Until this time the league was known as either the CVIBL (Country Victorian Invitation Basketball League), the VBL (Victorian Basketball League) or WVBL (Women's Victorian Basketball League). In 2004, the member clubs of the league voted to re-brand the entire league structure as Big V going forward.

Team Selection Criteria

There are many factors that enter into the selection of players for all of our Warriors Big V teams. This process is probably one of the toughest in coaching.

All team staff shall be required to dress in a way that clearly distinguishes them as part of the team and from other game night staff. Individuals should be recognisable as much for how they appear as what they wear.
